Ensconced among lanky coconut trees, Punya Farms was built for an (extended) family as a retreat from routine. The brief was “more outside than inside”. Complying with this was born the idea of creating a separate structure for the kitchen and dining. A stepped design allows maximum natural light and also provides an uninterrupted view of the Nilgiri hills.
An exercise in restraint was the clients brief for Punya Farms. Juxtaposing with the simple and efficient floor plan are splashes of colour accents. On the floor, on furniture and sometimes as fabric on walls, colours court minimalism to leave a lasting impression.
